HP is cutting positions big-time – My ex-landlord ( I could not stand the neighbors and am still holding out for sane pricing before I buy) works there – His division cut 50% of staff and he was given 2 months to find another position or be laid off …
And the hits just keep on coming …

If take the ascii decimal number representation of the characters in the name and put them together, you’d would have in sequence
Satan’s number , the third prime number, and a number describing a sex act[/quote]
Thank you

HP today is not HP back in the early 90ies.
HP in the 90ies was one of the most sought after companies by geeks, since they generally treated geeks pretty well.Hell started to break lose after Carly Fiorina took it over, and now that Mark Hurd is at the helm, it’s great for shareholders, but sucky for employees. Kinda like what happened when he ran NCR.
A few colleagues applied to a few “open positions” here in the U.S. only to make the positions really difficult to get (standard HP interviews from the 90ies). When they did manage to get the job, then they were greated with a sub-standard compensation package (significantly sub-standard) such that they declined. Meanwhile, it’s funny that they want to hire H1-B or overseas because “they can’t find anyone capable and willing to fill the position”… Go figure…Brilliant from a hardline business perspective. In fact, even so in this economy because so many people have to take this sh1t (some of us still don’t though).
HP should definitely be on the list of employers to avoid. No matter… They don’t care anyway.
That’s why I generally boycott their products, except their printers. I believe when you buy a printer, they actually lose money on the printer, but the make up for it in the ink cartridges/supplies. So I circumvent that by buying generic refillable cartridges so that HP can lose money on the printer and never get a dime out of me on the ink/paper sales.
