In fact, looking back at your statements.. you look more like a ‘conservative’ than I, where is your open minded liberal (marriage=loves=respect=sharing=commitment).. yet I am a registered Republican… go figure. Oh yeah, one more thing, I am considering becoming an NRA member too… 8-P
The liberal in me wants people to have choices in the lifestyles they want to lead. I don’t want everyone to conform.
I think that the feminist movement and the new laws of the past few decades that give women more of the marital assets are financially equitable to women. If I were a woman I’d want financial protection too.
Equitable to the woman doesn’t mean it’s fair to the man who earned the money. 1/2 of the assets is not fair. Fair would be to require the woman to go to work like everyone else and support herself. There should be spousal support to let her get back on her feet but that’s it.
I don’t want to participate in that scheme. That’s my choice. What’s wrong with that?
Marriage is fine if everything is honky dory. But if things go to hell, suck it up and don’t make the same mistake again.
If I get married, I want to be a house-husband, go shopping and play tennis all day. π

You have single handedly made this thread about you and your issues with women. I can almost see you pacing around the room working it out.I am just trying to help.
Russell, you’re reading too much into it.
I’m just having fun arguing against the prevailing behavior.
Just because the majority gets married, as a matter of course, monkey-see-monkey-do style, doesn’t mean that it’s the right choice for everyone.
If you like your marriage. All the best to you.
I don’t hate or have issues with anyone. I just choose not to participate.
The pictures I have draw are just generalizations for illustration purposes. Look at them as humor, like a David Letterman joke, and don’t take offense. That’s how I intended them to be. Unfortunately, I don’t have TG’s talent for infusing humor into writing.
BTW, I think that Desperate Housewives does a good good at poking fun at surburban life and ethics.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I know you have been kidding as much as anything.I am just picking on you guys in a messing around sort of way too, like I would to a buddy who is taking the anti-social misogynistic side of things.I do think I have some pretty good insights into these topics so feel free to hit me up for some advice when you get tired of the desperado phase.Try reading Karen Horney… that will fix you…No it is not porn fiction.
Never watched desperate housewives. Never had cable.

Just a little advice… maybe not post anything else in this thread…. really I am just trying to help you out at this point.
SDR: You’re wasting your breath. Boy doesn’t have the good sense God gave a common dog.
What is amusing is the other members of the Teddy Kennedy Fusiliers have joined the battle and are howling madly right along with old Bry.
You’d think they’d learn, but I guess not. Gluttons for punishment, and all that.
