Participant

If the economic benefits to a pregnant woman outweigh the costs of an abortion, then she should be permitted to abort.
Assuming that the costs and benefits have been accurately quantified.
A kids in the red for a long time, let’s say negative 750k to age 18. Then lost earnings for the woman, lets say 300k.
That’s negative 1,050,000. Kids worth about 50k in the adoption markett, since that’s what people pay in fees to get a newborn. So let’s call it an even negative million. Not sure what the avg 18 year olds worth. But most wont get 1 million In a wrongful death suit. Their earnings are speculative.I’m gonna go out on a limb and say we always come out ahead with a dead fetus. It just makes good business sense to kill the young, and obviously the old as we are
Are about to get busy with.. And a lot of dead weight in the middle.
I wonder what the economic impact of a trump death would be. I have a feeling it would be positive. It would be hilarious to see a stock market spike on news of a trumpstroke.

Another beautiful comment, scaredy.
Look for a place within walking (maybe biking) distance to the trolley.
Ah yes. The trolley. Good idea.
I was fantasizing, summer in sd, rent it out during school year, winter in temecula.

ParticipantI will not be going to a restaurant before may 2022. Going to save a lot of money.
But kind of sad.
No way I’m eating food surrounded by others.
Souplantation used to make us queasy, like we were just a bunch of feeding insects, prepandemic
Will be going to barnes and noble with mask and will buy wife a cookie

That’s cuz you bought a large property. I think we pay about $1500/yr and never have to worry about anything. Yard always looks great.
They haven’t increased our price in 15 years. Probably because we pay them no matter what…slow season, rain, the 6 months they didn’t have to work due to yard remodel, coronavirus, whatever. We pay them.
Probably be more like 10k. Im exhausted
. Clearing hillsides is brutal. I was bred not for manual labor. So weak. Skinny. Pale. But so frugal.
…My hands buzzing
A light has gone on i n my head re alcohol. It was taking more than it was giving me. Not just the money…but the money too. So much money, but also I’m old. I’m done. Like meat, and cheese, I’ve had enough. Enough already.
I value being really hydrated. But it’s kind of complex, hydration when you read about it. It’s not just slugging glasses of water. I cant a Ford the physical toll of any alcohol.
Alcohol, bad.
Soup, good.
Normally id be drinking after all that work. To kind of dull the general ache. Also I have a shin splint.
But it’s ok and even nice just sitting here throbbing. Might take a tylenol. Maybe not
The pain of life not marked over and accepted calmly is not bad really

There is no other basis for decidionmaking… all decisions in america must be made sole on the basis of cost benefit.
In the future, we should vote for spreadsheets, not candidates

I agree with this point.
if not open now, then when? How much longer can we stay closed?
At some point you are going to have to make the trade off.
Staying closed for 3 more months IMO is not a option, neither is another 3 years.
Pretty much everyones job is bullshit and makes zero difference
We could probably just pay people to do nothing and have a better society.
Maybe America itself needs to just retire .
I think I have enough clothes to last the rest of my life.
Prob. Most of us are close .
J crew can go bankrupt and 90 perc of clothing retailers and we could all be fine.
I think literally the only thing America needs is my new screenplay …

Participant

…but because of a pledge I made there to not drink, I save 3,000 a year on alcohol…
Well that’s it. I’ll never be a buddhist.
And you were spending $60/week on alcohol?
On average, at least, including eating out.
I mean, a half bottle of nice wine and a good scotch is 7 to 10$ at home right there.
A bottle of pliny the elder alone is 7.
365 days a year times 7 is 2500. Probably more than 3000 a year.

ParticipantIt would cost me about 6k a year for a landscaper but I do a lousy job with 5 hours a week. That’s like 10 k a year pretax.
My hands are still buzzing from 3 hours of weedwhacking today.

I’m try9ng not to be judgmental but I was filled with judgment.
you seem to know a lot about the Bible, scaredy.
What does the Bible say about passing judgement?
I had planned to read the Bible because we are such a Christian centric society that I feel that I am lacking for not having read it.
I just listen to Christian radio. It’s the spirit not the word.

ParticipantInteresting.
If my kid gets in off the waitlist to. Sdsu, I’d like to buy a house there. Now wondering if distance learning could affect market there.
Still want something there, but I’d prefer to pay 400k than 600k.

ParticipantNot sure this is true, but I read Jay Leno is leaving his large estate to fund training in automotive restoration.
This seems like a terrible terrible decision to me, but apparently he really likes old cars.
