My whole point is your average s.d. family does not have 4K a month for housing.

July 2, 2009 at 6:09 PM #424351sdrealtorParticipantAnd my point is that your average sd family doesnt have to spend that much. A $550K home is now a very nice home in a nice community that is affordable for the people that it should be. A few years ago it was a shack in the hood.

Ok, so it’s not 4K, is *JUST* 3K IF they put 20% down – esp. when you add up MRs or HOAs AND Prop.taxes (ok, those can wash out with interest tax deduction)… Or 3.5 K if they put less than 20% and had to pay PMI…I still think that’s WAY too much. And it’s not even true in some ‘hoods like Carlsbad Aviara/La Costa, or CV, or CMR… 3K is the take home paycheck at an average salary…It shouldn’t make sense to spend one paycheck for housing, when one may lose its job. But it’s true, prices have come down a lot in many areas, esp. inland.July 2, 2009 at 6:25 PM #424588ScarlettParticipant[quote=sdrealtor]And my point is that your average sd family doesnt have to spend that much.
