May 13, 2009 at 6:49 PM #398486DowntownerParticipantWell, mine is pretty obvious, but I’ll have to add my story anyway.
I’ve lived in the center of cities for the past 22 years with one exception – a 4 month period in Mission Hills/Hillcrest. Where other people are alarmed by hearing sirens & the homeless fights/rants outside their windows, to me that’s comforting – it’s home! The 4 months in Mission Hills I could hear crickets, dogs(wolfs) howling, and the wind – Scared the shit out of me! Got lucky and the condo we were renting went to short sale and we negotiated our way out of it and moved back to the city! I always have to chuckle to myself when one of our suburb friends come to visit and ask if its save to park their car on the street – I’m thinking when I go out to there places some guy with a shotgun is going to come out and say he’s going to shoot me because I’m Trespassin’. Anyway, to each their own.

May 13, 2009 at 7:15 PM #398516UCGalParticipantWell… I live in University City (UC) and I’m female.
The first post I made was about a short sale on my street – wanted to get info on it from the local experts.
