June 7, 2010 at 4:10 PM #560783scaredyclassicParticipantwell i changed my name from scaredycat to bigtuna to pithecanthropus erectus all ina few minutes. it’s way too easy to change your name…there needs to be a cooling off period. if everyone behaved this irresponsibly, it would be impossible to be able to know anyone.

I think you got the taxonomy in your new screen name wrong, Big Tuna.[/quote]I forgot about his Erect stage.
August 2, 2014 at 7:10 AM #777186moneymakerParticipantI was originally “threadkiller”, i.e. the last word. Then i got tired of having the last word and became moneymaker. Just made it up out of thin air (hey if the government can do it, then so can I), I’m not the world famous poker player or a counterfeiter. Although I did just buy “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Poker” for 50¢ at the local library sale, so there is hope for me yet. Have had some good luck with money, but not the kind that wins the lottery.
August 2, 2014 at 4:59 PM #777195HatfieldParticipantHmm, somehow I missed this old thread. Anyway, I was fascinated by the story of Charles Hatfield, the infamous rainmaker who was hired by the San Diego City Council to end a drought and refill Lake Morena. Now, some will say he was a scam artist, and he may well have been one, but it rained so hard that mudslides and flooding killed at least 20 people.
I’ve never killed anyone (that I know of) but I do sometimes tend to overdo things a teeny bit.

What a fascinating story. Thank you for sharing, Hatfield. 🙂
