eh.. as a consumer, I have always hated the looks of gm cars and the interiors.
Huge, ugly buttons, crappy plastic that warps from the heat, and just crappy design..
A lot of the later cars coming out though are looking nice.. I just wish they would have adapted to trends sooner

Completely agree here…they went through quite a dead period with respect to styling.
And you’re right, they’ve pulled out of it for the most part.
Personally, I just buy the car that fits my needs the best – wherever and by whomever it is made.

Frankly, GM would be better off to restructure. I want GM/Ford/Chrysler to survive and build better cars. But that would probably mean throwing a significant portion of the people onto the street and redoing all the contracts with UAW.
[/quote]Agree here also. I think GM has needed a wake-up call for quite awhile and it may take something as deep as this to get it…up until recently they seem to think they call the shots in the industry. If they can wipe the slate clean and start fresh, I think that is really what is called for as painful as it’s gonna be.
People seem to ignore the quality stats of the past decade and just believe the biased reporting the media puts out with respect to GM quality. I’ve owned several of their recent products and they’ve been stellar, reinforcing the quality surveys I’ve seen.
No matter…since the public believes what they want GM/others have to discount prices giving me excellent deals! I win!
