Obama should have demanded that they be taken down before he came to office. Now he, at some point soon, is going to have to be the one that says no. It can’t go on too much longer?

Almost to the day of the waranties running out we had electrical problems on both of them. The front suspension is so weak if you run over a dime you need to get an alignment! Speedo stopped working on one, the circulation fan on the other as well as the left side of the stereo.
I have owned nissan pick ups in the past and zero problems. I currently drive a 04 BMW 325, runs like the day it came off the line. Before that a 1989 325 with 120,ooo miles on it that ran flawlessly, I installed an after market turbo system on it and it was great until I added too much boost and blew a head gasket. MY fault not BMW.
IMHO and experience GMC and their pampered union workers turn out crap. I must be the exception to the rule.

Everything from re-sale value to mean-time-to-failure shows that the cars just don’t hold up against the foreign ones.
That’s not to say that all American cars are junk. Your experience Scarlet is great. I wish I would have had the same experience with the American cars I owned. But I didn’t. And based on my experiences and what I research on my own when shopping for an automobile, the U.S. cars are eliminated almost immediately.
And for me, that is what it means to “Buy American”. The American ideal is about freedom. Being able to discern the best value for your own dollar and personal taste makes one more of an American than making a decision based on faith or placing your trust into the dogma of a simple motto.
