svelteParticipantFederal may have extended the deadline but I don’t think state did.
I mailed a large dollar value set of bonds to the government a couple of years back. Very scary sticking all of that in the mail, but I insured it, tracked it, and crossed my fingers. Worked out fine.
svelteParticipantha! just hitting refresh is working for me. I noticed a couple of days ago that it wouldn’t let me reply even after I logged in. Figured I’d take the lazy way out and wait until someone else found a solution. Thanks to the finder!
svelteParticipantDid you check your spam folder? That is where I found my reset link.
svelteParticipant
I think all insurance costs have gone up considerably.
From my experience anyway.
If your insurance went up almost 1300% like that condo association saw, I feel sorry for you!
I just checked – my homeowners insurance went up 15% in August.
My auto insurance went up 9%.
I’ll take that over 1300% any day!
svelteParticipant
Autophagy. Deep autophagy. Intermittent fasting is a start. Longterm fasting is more.
Extreme is 3 meals a day, snacks at night, desserts, alcohol. Normal is extreme.
Wouldn’t disagree with that. I think the human body is most efficient somewhere between what typical humans do now and a pure water diet.

Question: why do we have fat?
I’ve always heard it stores energy for periods when food sources are not available – I didn’t google search it to see if that has been disproven.
Perhaps your water diet doesn’t feel so bad because you are working through that fat reserve…
svelteParticipant
Did you talk to your doctor about this? Reading online, and from what I’ve heard in the past, you should only water fast for 2-3 days. Longer than that can cause medical issues. (Although I can’t tell you what issues…)
Extreme anything isn’t good for you. Even water.
svelteParticipantExcept that extra $208 a month only buys them 1/5 of the insurance they had before. So either they were over-insuring before or they are under-insuring now.
Multiply that 208 by 5 and the number gets ugly fast.
Hopefully $50M in insurance won’t cost them 5 times what $10M costs.
svelteParticipant
svelteParticipantThe book?
svelteParticipantLook at this looong list of EVs coming out in 2023!
2023 will be the year the tide turns…it will be the EV age from here on out.
They will all be vying for market share so this is another thing pointing to better new car deals next year.
There are some very nice EV choices in the 2023 list!
svelteParticipantLooks like it hasn’t been mentioned yet so I’ll do it now:
Don’t buy through Carvana. That company appears to be about to go under and you don’t want to be in the middle of a transaction when that happens.
Oh, and they seem to have a problem supplying the vehicle title to customers…
svelteParticipant
svelteParticipantThere are people I’ve known long term who neglected their teeth for decades and when they were older and wiser tried to change course. I know folks on here say teeth can self-heal, but in my opinion if that is possible at all it is very limited.
Choose wisely.
svelteParticipantI am really OK with the move to EV. Not crazy about it being forced upon people, but I can see it is about time for ICE to yield the floor – just thinking about how an internal combustion engine works – it is ancient technology.
The transition is not likely to be all that smooth and we’re already seeing that. So hang on for another 10 years or so as its gonna be a bumpy ride.
