So Im back albeit with a slightly different user name as when I tried to use the system to send me a link to set new password it just doesnt send me. Maybe something that can be fixed but if not I’ll just use the new one

Did you check your spam folder? That is where I found my reset link.

I did not receive my password reset email for sdduuuude, but then again I don’t remember what email address I used to sign up in 2005 and it may not even be active on my web hosts.

Please try to send it manually, and if it doesn’t work maybe send me the first letter of the email name and domain and I will go see if I can find it.

Im not sure if it is my personal email but I still use that one. It is the first email a/c I ever signed up for with aol back around 1991 maybe earlier. I still have it and use it every day

I was replying to sdud here, about the temp email… your (sdr) email is the same one you use IRL.

Definitely some wierdness going on with login/logout/authentication.
Now that I am logged in as sdduuuude it won’t let me go to Messages.

When I click messages it brings me to a login screen, then when I login it says “Welcome sdduuuude” but then I can’t go to messages without it asking me to login again.

As you can see, I am able to login and reply to this thread.
But, even as I am logged in now, every reply to the most recent “shambling towards affordability … ” shows a link “Log in to Reply” When I click that link it takes me to a page that shows I am logged in.

I think the temp one is still alive and forwarding to somewhere. A manual messsage to that may work.
I have received 5 emails from the new site at the email of sddud account so not sure why the other bounce.
The message in the site “Messages” section is not clickable that I can tell.

Futurescaredy is present but not really accounted for. He’s living in the future. Quit/retired from his job, moved to downtown SD, got another job, live ng the SD lifestyle, waiting for a crash in the downtown condo market to buy something brain very stimulated by all the changes.

My fix is to add “?xxxx” to the end of the URL, where the x’s are some random string of characters. Ghetto, but works.

ha! just hitting refresh is working for me. I noticed a couple of days ago that it wouldn’t let me reply even after I logged in. Figured I’d take the lazy way out and wait until someone else found a solution. Thanks to the finder!
