after you bore of this fasting novelty, you should crowdsource your next passionate-but-fleeting health fad with a quick survey here on piggington. I’d vote for you trying out daily ice baths for a month.
Would pair nicely with your new sauna. 😉tb
Funny you should mention ice baths. I was recently at the Nordic spa called Scandinave up in whistler Canada. Amazing place. Ice plunges and saunas in a perfect setting. Felt awesome.

A perfect retirement might center around coming here most days. In fact I’m thinking of heading back up there. They have ski lifts that can take you up for alpine meadow hiking. Added bonus: you can buy psychedelic mushrooms in stores in Vancouver Canada! So cheap! Favorable exchange rate
scaredyclassicParticipantAutophagy. Deep autophagy. Intermittent fasting is a start. Longterm fasting is more.
Extreme is 3 meals a day, snacks at night, desserts, alcohol. Normal is extreme.
scaredyclassicParticipantQuestion: why do we have fat?
scaredyclassicParticipantDay 5.
Wow.
Like a total reset.
I’m committed now to truly clean up my diet. Zero added sugar. Nothing processed. No white flour.
I can feel the autophagy clearing out my arteries (ok that might be in my head). I definitely can feel it helping with a periodontal issue. Sore tissue needs time to rest.
scaredyclassicParticipantWhat if no one ever sells? Maybe everyone just keeps their spot, like some sort of medieval castle that never changes hands. The prices are too high to buy, sellers can rent it out for way more than their payment…
Could this be the future?
scaredyclassicParticipantPsilocybin.
Amazing.
Sold in retail stores up in Vancouver canada
scaredyclassicParticipantThe longest water fast I’ve done is 5 days, a while back now. I intend to get serious about regular long fasts in my 60s.

No way.
I’m with you there. No Teslas in my future either.
Ditto
I hate Elon musk so much a Tesla would have to cost $18k post credit to be considered.

Genetic tendency. But is it destiny?
Osteoporosis.
Is it preventable w diet and exercise?
Yeah, probably.
Bones. Teeth. Same stuff?
You’re still going to die. Just buy the minivan already. That way when you go postal at Walmart or whatnot and the news describes the shooter as a pasty balding man driving a taup or tan colored minivan, we’ll know it was you.
Josh
I’m not balding, strangely. And not pasty, more olive. Be on the lookout for a really skinny jew.
The argument “you’re going to die anyway” is lame. I welcome death, swift sudden death. I have no problem with ceasing to exist right now. I do have a problem spending 50k on dental implants and periodontal work.
Dentures.
Yes. Cheap scaredy would prolly do that. But I’d prefer to have teeth. A lot.
I mean if the choice we’re eat pizza, bread, sugar, pasta, booze and wear dentures, or never eat any of that again but have teeth….
I’d go teeth
scaredyclassicParticipant

I like the Prius, but I wish it had more room in the trunk like some Prius-V’s.
I like the Idea of not having to keep searching for a charging station or trying to schedule enough time to make sure I can get to my destinations.
If I had an EV I think I would want to have a second car hybrid probably just in case.
I’m not convinced that EV is the end all solution … I think there will have to be some improvement to ICE engines and fuel.
I had bought a Prius prime plug in hybrid about 3 years ago. Got wrecked. Anyway it was awesome in terms of combination. Almost all my trips I used less than the 28 mile battery. Recharged overnight on regular plug. Sometimes I wouldn’t get gas for a month or two. Was only like 19k after tax credit. Wish I still had it. Didn’t replace at the time. For some reason insurance paid out 28k
I used to be gaming the battery and when I was almost home, I’d be as excited as world cup level like I’d make it home without using gas. Driving super efficiently. Praying to the Lord for fair tailwinds. My wife thought my drama over this was insufferably idiotic. If the engine kicked in a few blocks from home, I’d be cursing and banging the steering wheel like I’d lost 5k at blackjack
Kinda dumb I know. But I actually found it fun. I guess I’m hard to live with. Good thing I’m not in the dating pool.

scaredyclassicParticipantCriminalize soda.
Warning label on Snickers, like on a pack of cigs.
I’m old, which is probably why I feel this way, but society is just disgusting. Normal is awful.
I’m not a get off my lawn kinda guy, because lawns are ecological nightmares that should be banned, but I guess I am in a different way.
I don’t think virtually any Americans connect diet and inadequate nutrients, excess phytic acid, dry mouth with tooth decay. They see it more as failing to brush.
It’s like arguing the reason for heart problems is a failure to get angioplasty. Gosh I feel cranky
