I have always kind of guessed that the evangelical pummeling you with his views is playing a game of one-upsmanship against me somewhere in his own mind, subconscious probably.. While doing so he deceives himself that he is also more like the heroic Jesus than and not the boring and frightened creature that he is.
NotCrankyParticipantNotCrankyParticipantI saw a woman at the gym today. Her shirt had “OK , but brunch first” printed on it.
NotCrankyParticipantyou were talking about a second dwelling on your parcel , scaredy. You might want to look into how much mortgage and property tax you can take off the top of the rental income from a 2 on 1.
Can anyone lay out how that works? In my case it seems to be great, but I don’t have much knowledge about how my accountant does it(justifies it with the IRS) .
NotCrankyParticipantSeems like the biggest factor in women’s sexual interest equalizing to that of a male , is and always has been her being appreciative of something else the man has , could offer , or is doing, that is not primarily sexual. I am not saying it’s always phony and exploitive, or being a “ho”, but something besides sex to appreciate is a big part of the equation, like it or not.
Take for instance (post nuptial shut-off) PNSO , the woman was sexual while she appreciated the chance of catching that mate, or getting that first child, she wouldn’t be very disinterested all the time, couldn’t be. IF she doesn’t have,, or perceive, a lot to appreciate in that mate after the reproduction phase. It often becomes a declining thing or full stop.
NotCrankyParticipantWomen should have to take an honesty pill that makes them specify as to why they are sending sexual signals.

The quote (minus the reference to youth sports) is as old as the hills. In terms of your views of women, perhaps that’s your experience but it seems very out of the ordinary to me.
Please don’t equate some observations of some women with my views of women. Thank you.
NotCrankyParticipantI don’t agree that one party exclusively makes claims that their moral values are the to go to decrease depravity or have a better humanity in this country.
The progressives think that all the SjW programs and version of humanity , which we must assume they apply to themselves, is the best way and if you aren’t a devotee then you are thrown in the unprotected class bucket, deplorables if you will. This attitude has not lessened the occurrence of “sleaze balls and criminals” amongst them. Or, in my opinion even brought their constituents to higher ground on the whole than any other party.

BTW, infinite numbers of females have rubbed their stuff on men without asking, when trying to get a better deal on a car, or a kitchen remodel , or get a good or free deal on having closets lined with cedar, or they have used ploys to like, “I need my stove fixed” to get a man with higher sexual market value into their lair, so they can make a hard pass on them. How about rubbing on a guy to make their boyfriend jealous? Men don’t have the market corned on groping or other forms of “sexual misconduct”….and that’s funny.
NotCrankyParticipant
The 640sf does not look right. The living room/kitchen looks like about 400, leaving 240 for two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
That place looks like it would easily rent for the mortgage payment, meanwhile you get tax benefits and pay down the balance each month.
Nice renovation too. The granny flat law and big yard means an extra unit can be built too.
640 sqft, if it is actually bigger, unpermitted additions eating up the little 3125 Sqft lot and putting anyone who wants to pull a subsequent permit at risk of getting hammered by code compliance.
This could easily be a situation where someone, not necessarily recent flipper, knocking out walls and making a bigger great room and then adding bedrooms back on without permits and not in the ball park of code.
NotCrankyParticipant
Lease is invalid without initial payment. You dodged a bullet. Tear up the lease, tell the nice folks to take their nice selves elsewhere. Not your problem. If they can’t get the initial payment right, what makes you think they’ll pay on time in future and you won’t have problems with rubber checks?
At the very least, demand a few months up front to give you time to evict them if they make a habit of not paying.
You can’t demand a few months up front for any reason. There are very strong laws in how you work out getting money during application and that isn’t part of it.June 26, 2017 at 3:22 PM in reply to: New construction at record low, nominal prices hit new high #806993NotCrankyParticipantI heard on the the radio that the City of San Diego is trying to organize looser regulations on building granny flats in urban back yards. Removing parking space requirements was part of it. There was also talk of lowering permit and processing fees, water meter fees, and maybe some other things I don’t recall.
NotCrankyParticipantIf you have young children, or plan on it, River View has a good language program. Well, you might have to make up for some shortcomings, but that’s true with any public school. Just having a school with language offerings makes Lakeside not the same as it was. School Choice has worked out great for my family and you would have lots of great schools to choose from on your commute. My kids live in Jamul (east county). We got our kids in an out of district charter, and an out of district language academy, just because it fit them, and what we wanted for them better.
Santee, is not Klantee anymore. I don’t like it too much, but it has some Commercial usefulness to it if you live in Lakeside. There are some good recreation leagues for all ages. Pretty decent drive to the beaches and lots of good hiking/mountain biking nearby.Iron Mountain. El Cajon Peak, sycamore canyon. Even Noble canyon isn’t too far away.
Hopefully, your area is good enough and will improve. Quite likely is better for you than the alternatives you mentioned. Pretty sure if a condo in MV was a fit for you , you wouldn’t need someone to tell you that.
Good luck to you and make the best of it.
