[quote=mike92104]It’s too bad Bob Barr doesn’t get more media attention. The man makes a lot of sense, and talks about real issues. I’m thinking more and more that the Libertarian Party IS the new party. It just has to break through the media’s indifference to anything that is not selling advertising to get it’s message across. To me, it seems that the media no longer reports. It’s more along the lines of this is what you should think. In a suddle suggestive manner.

“I feel like we got a righteous wind at our backs here.”
Is this the part that rings alarm bells for you?
Seems like the usual rally speech material. Fascism may be a bit of a stretch.

Hell yeah for a guy to say God is behind him and he is coming to save you is scary.
Don’t you think?? But I guess its ok if a democrat saids it right?

Dude, when isn’t some sort of devine selection invoked in this sort of situation? This is a theme that has been repeated throughout history…good and bad. Didn’t W declare God was on our side or some such thing when rallying the citizenry into taking on the invasion of Iraq?
I just think it’s a little too early to be playing “Tin Foil Hat”.You do realize that he spent a several years of his childhood in Indonesia, which has a large Muslim population. I’m sure he’s heard expressions such as, “righteous wind” on more than one occasion. He used an expression that he’s familiar with to express himself. We all do that on a daily basis.
Why is everything a Democrat vs. Republican arguement? How about we just worry about what’s good for the country. Both parties have been running the country into the ground. Why is it so hard to see that?
We’ve arrived at this point in history together; Democrat, Republican or other. Finger pointing and divisiveness isn’t going to get us anywhere.
Obama talks about change. If he is elected, will he truely bring change? Only time will tell. He’s only one cog in the machine but, he does seem to posses the ability to bring people of varying backgrounds together. That seems to be a very important attribute for some applying for this particular job.

creechrrParticipantI hope the project is completed. I’m also a car lover and have a dream of a 3+ car garage filled with automotive projects. As I am not currently a home owner, the more projects that are completed within the county the greater my chances of achieving my dream while staying within my means.
Good luck!
