Bombs, Pot Farm Found At Lake Elsinore Daycare
Suspect Blew His Fingers Off, Said He Had Been Shot
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (CBS) ―A Lake Elsinore man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of trying to make a bomb after he went to a hospital emergency room with his hand blown off.
Benjamin Kuzelka, 23, reportedly told hospital staff that he suffered a gunshot wound, but they determined that the injury was inconsistent with a gunshot wound.
Authorities were called and sent to Kuzelka’s home, where they found explosives, as well as a sophisticated marijuana-growing operation.
The home is a licensed daycare facility called Kuzelka Daycare.
Kuzelka’s 55-year-old mother, as well as his 21-year-old brother, were also arrested.
All three will be charged with manufacturing of explosives, felony child endangerment and possession for sale of marijuana.

Participant
uh, more chidcare is ‘troublesome”?
got kids? ever struggled to try to find a freaking place to put em?
Ive raised a bunch of them, had good income, and there were patches of sheer crazed desperation trying to patch together a plan for making sure they were all cared for w/ no SAHM.
anybody who criticizes greate raccess to day care is IMHO not in touch with the reality of life in this no-family-support, overworked, crazy society.
even now when they’re big, schools let out at what, 2:30? what si the freaking plan/ where are all these kids to go? statsitically there’s gonna be problems.
it’s a constant source of worry and anxiety.
youc an say, then, well don’t have kids.
good point.
but kids are here. and SAHM situation not viable at all times for all families
so what’s the plan????
more better day care….
Sheesh, you and your jacked up typing scaredy…..sorry, somebody had to say it at some point so it might as well be me.
I guess we’re on different parenting planets. Yes, I have kids, 3 to be exact. And no, I’ve never had a problem finding a place to “put em”. If I didn’t have the resources to raise a child I wouldn’t have them. Why have children if you want them in daycare or a government run school all day? Is that the teacher’s job now to babysit your kids?
You are only as overscheduled and crazy as you want yourself to be. And if you are crazy and overscheduled, why have kids? I don’t think people like that should have dogs.
What if the kids are already here?! Why do other people and institutions have to solve your problems? If you earn a good salary, hire someone to take care of your kids. Kids have always been getting out of school at 2:30. Why do we have to solve this problem for your kids now because you can’t figure out what to do with them between then and when you get off of work? And how do we plan to fund this extra daycare, longer school hours, and less summer vacations anyway? Do we suddenly have a surplus in education funds that I don’t know about?

ParticipantWell, no one likes to admit that managers would probably pick a single guy to lay off vs. one who has a wife and kids. Also, aren’t married people the minority anyway these days?
As a side note, this paragraph from the article disturbs me and seems in line with Obama’s new education agenda:
“Another possible but more expensive step would be greater provision of childcare. Increasing the length of the school day, lowering the starting age and reducing school vacations might all help.”
