ParticipantYou already posted this in the other thread. Good for 4S. My friend who recently bought in Westwood, perhaps he should have made his buying mistake in 4S instead.
ocrenter keeps our 4S information coming though:

ParticipantTalk about hitting close to home. Some good friends of ours also moved from Ohio a couple of months after us and settled in RB. About 6 months he bought (I didn’t want him to) and is on the corner of Duenda, and Alacran Ct. which is two streets up from Aguamiel (21 homes so far) and one street up from Azucar. They are staying with us, so it’s very unsettling as they wonder if their home is next.
My gut feeling is they are tucked in pretty safely, and Fox 8 hasn’t announced any homes on their street yet, but they are sitting their watching friends and neighbors homes going up.

ParticipantI just enjoy seeing how you wealthy folk look for homes, it sounds pretty fun. My goals will be more along the 1500-2000 Sq. Foot range, but it will take a few years. I can’t ever imagine living somewhere like Del Sur or RSF. I am pushing 40 and work at a place with no stock options, so I doubt I’ll ever have a big enough windfall to buy into those sorts of areas. Of course debt load, and losing $$$ on midwestern house after moving here didn’t help. We had to maintain that house longer than expected and the final sale caused me to have to bring $$$ to the table.

ParticipantI used to make a drive from the Warren, Ohio area down to a consulting gig around the Pissburgh airport. I had many close calls with deer, and apparently several others did so the Ohio/PA Fish and Game folks had to up the bag limit for a couple of years. All of this is managed pretty smoothly if you ask me. The Deer were more than flourishing.
I am not, and have never hunted. Not a part of the gun culture one iota and I am grateful for hunting season when I am up there.
Lastly for a blue collar family where the old man is making $12-13/hour and mom is making $7-8, a deer or two goes a long way throughout the winter. Deer tacos, venison steaks, venison helper (cheesburger macaroni), etc.

ParticipantI had to go wal-mart last week to get Halo 3. I was shuffling between Sams and Wal-Mart up in Vista because I need the X-Box 360 as well. It really didn’t seem too bad, but I can dress down pretty well.

ParticipantSince outsourcing development or maintenance work (Software) to India is akin to an import of services, I assume the weak dollar makes Indian Labor more expensive?

Participant100% here. Can’t speculate as to how the general population would do, I was always into this kind of thing.
