It’s ironic that the skills necessary to win an election have nothing to do with the skills necessary to excel in the performance of the duties of the office. The choices of both Palin and Obama both appear to based primarily on winning the office, not on actually governing the nation.
We truly do deserve the government we elect.

BugsParticipantDuring the last bust we had (I believe) 3 mini- rallies between peak to trough. I can see no reason to believe this is anything other than another pause on the way down the hill.
We have a lot of forced-sale inventory coming yet and the pace of sales hasn’t increased so much as to mitigate that trend. We still have a gross oversupply and we’re still losing mortgage-quality employment.
I’m sure it will eventually turn around, but not yet.

I don’t want to see either one of them get caught with a suitcase full of coke and (3) 12-year old boys, or get arrested as a spy for Venezuela.
The electorate is basically divided and it is in the best interests of the nation for each side’s candidates to take their best shot. It’s supposed to be by the people and for the people.
If Obama is somehow unqualified for office then shame on the DNC leadership for not finding this out sooner and preventing him from splitting their vote. The same goes for the GOP and McCain’s bonafides.
The ends cannot justify the means – that’s how the situation has degraded to it’s present condition.
