speak for yourself. I’m pretty happy being an enginerd.
Speaking of outsourcing….Here’s some irony.
My high end laptop for work is made in USA…It’s a Sony vaios….On the other hand, my spare p.o.s. Dell and HP are made overseas. Go figure…And folks that love the iphone sure don’t mind to contributing to slave child labor.
Last time I checked also, the common folks in China (enginerd types) aren’t exactly raking in the dough either. All the rich folks are folks that push paper and people around too…Construction, hi tech, where the top .5% earn the majority of the income while the remainder as piss poor…Of course you only hear about the .5% because those are the ones with the financial means to come here and stay.
Hey, anyone tninking it’s better to live in China…Go for it. There’s the door…Don’t let it slam you on the way out π

Clothing is expensive only because we think that we need so much of it. Otherwise clothing would be a minute part of our incomes. You really only need 7 outfits for everyday of the week. Do laundry once a week.
People back in the 20s and 30s probably had only 3 shirts and 3 pairs of pants. They didn’t need or have walk-in closets.
These days we are vein and can’t be seen more that several times with the same outfit. It starts with kids in school needing designer clothes and shoes.

Somehow from a man’s perspective seems like sex should be right up there somewhere. [/quote]If you want sex, you need to spend a lot of money on clothes for your wife.
