In CA, the rebate is per appliance type per household. Theoretically, you could go above $1500, but that would involve buying every possible appliance is is highly unlikely… (For example, an 500-1000 HVAC rebate probably won’t apply to most people)
Rebates are there until we run out..We’re not even close to running out of funds…CA added to the list of qualified appliances. So I figure pretty soon, either CA will add new categories of appliances (it already did this once), or possibly update the amount of rebates.
Also, these rebates do not include any additional rebates that SDGE is throwing into the equation. My fridge qualified for a $200 credit from this incentive and also had a SDGE rebate on top of that. That and I got sears to match/beat Pacific Sales.
Ended up a getting a LG three door fridge, for about a pretty good price, a dishwasher, and replaced by washer/dryer. I’m contemplating replacing my water heater…
