Veritas,
Everytime I see her I am more impressed. She is everything HC is not. She is bright, HC flucked her DC bar exam, She is professional looking, HC is a slob, she actually has answers to questions, HC would rather make up lies about being shot at by snipers.
If Palin was a socialist democrat she would be worshiped by the media.
McCain is running a great campaign. Usually Republicans are must mealy mouthed, try to be nice etc, try to debate the the issues etc. McCain is just stomping all over Obama and making the campaign personal which has caught Obama off guard. This is not your typical republican campaign.
I can’t wait until the debates. I may even be embarrassed for Obama considering how bad he is going to look next to McCain.

September 13, 2008 at 12:38 PM #269758LA_RenterParticipantI like this quote from Norman J. Ornstein, Resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (a conservative think tank) concerning Palin’s interview
“She had me at hello Charley– had me scared to death….a series of knowledge and logic gaps that ought to shake every foreign policy specialist, liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, to his or her roots.”
I don’t know of any thinking person that could have looked at that interview and not be shaken. What happened to the Republicans? This used to be the most buttoned up political party offering the most progressive views on what Governments role should be. When listening to politicians running for high office people are generally trying to determine if they agree with them on the issues, after watching this interview I came away with the perception that Palin does not really know what the issues are. I’m sorry but this selection is a big minus in my book.

I guess we saw different interiews. Gibson was the one who looked uniformed. He didn’t know the answers of the questions he was asking and I don’t think understood the questions he asked.
The Bush Doctrine was the clue. There is no “Bush Doctrine” other then a series of comments concerning our right to preemptive strike against countries attempting to us hard.
That’s why she asked him in what regards relative to the Bush Doctrine he was talking about.
Of course all the ill informed liberals didn’t know any more then Charlie.
