Back to Palin:
37,244,000 viewers just about 1 million short of Obama’s record-breaking 38,379,000. Obama was on 10 networks, Palin just 6. Obama is the #1, she is merely the #2.
So I ask again is there a buzz? This buzz amongst the base is reminiscent of the Newt Gingrich election when 50 years of Dem rule was ended.
Also 24 Million watched Biden. Again I don’t mind those that hate her, I just think when they say the pick was a big mistake, that they aren’t being realistic. And for the liberal critics only (not the wayward conservatives without a good candidate)…Hate her for policies, background, and values that’s fine, but have at least admit you must be a little concerned that you are in a dogfight now.
In a race you should be running away with. Any concern that most of the important states you need to steal back the election were won by Hillary? Any concern about Hillary saying the complaints against Palin are sexist?
There is certainly some regrouping going on at Team Obama, as they are now on D-E-F-E-N-S-E.
By the way, someone mentioned that they can’t believe piggs would be falling for the McCain/Palin ticket when they are supposed to be “so much smarter” since they are so keyed in on the housing bubble. Being a pigg I generally don’t listen to most politicians anyway. Doesn’t mean I want the party of more taxes, the party of anti-gun rhetoric, or the party of affirmative action. So yes it’s the lesser of two evils.

September 4, 2008 at 3:33 PM #265988afx114ParticipantExactly. Palin wouldn’t even be on the ticket if Hilary was in the VP slot. Why didn’t they pick Hutchison or Snowe, two far more qualified (and less-controversial) candidates? Palin is a purely political pandering move. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but at least call it what it is.
