Participantnormal people act liek i may be guilty of child abuse when i say i am not planning to send my kids to an expensive or even inexpensive college right out of high school. just like not buying a house, it takes some personal fortitude to go against the grain and not drink the kool aid. the way I see it, I did it the other way, and they can’t turn out worse than me! what is the rush? you have a whole lifetime to toil away in some godforsaken profession. take a few years, learn a trade, be a hobo, layabout, go walk across america, be grateful if you finally decide to get to a college instead of mildly resentful. have a sense of what you might like. my position sounds radical to people who are ont he conveyor belt of life, but i see it as the only way to go. kids, slow down. think.
