Guest
seems wrong to say that this is forcing kids to confront sexuality, any more than informing them that men and women are sometimes “involved” together. my kids knew from the time they were little that a man could “marry” a man, even if it’s not technically legal. They don’t see anything odd about that.
In fact, for most kids I think it’s much more intuitive than marrying out of one’s gender. after all, girls have cooties. theya re dangerous to marry.
I love your attitude on this. I bet you think it’s kinda funny too.
I believe this back and forth between inclusion education and payer in school, English as the national language, the pledge of allegiance, is part of the culture war started under Reagan.
I believe the side of inclusion, compassion and understanding will eventually win out in the end.
Kids will grow up and adopt more progressives views. The parents are the ones with issues.

ParticipantTeaching tolerance is good.
Teaching either directly or indirectly that homosexuality is ‘normal’ – I want to opt out. And ultimately I think that is exactly what this bill is all about.
