Perhaps I misunderstood jp, but I took his comments to mean that he could have purchased a home for zero down, been a first payment default, lived without paying a dime for 6-9 months, and then started renting like the rest of us Piggs. Sure he slams his credit rating, but we all know that your credit rating is all based on your credit to debt ratio…and if you don’t have any debt, and you’re all about cash, then who needs a good credit rating?
By the time this thing turns around, any damage done to your credit rating would be erased anyhow.I don’t want to speak for jp…but that’s what I thought he was saying.

November 14, 2008 at 1:59 PM #304667NotCrankyParticipantRockemesock,She specifically said “wait for the bank to bail me out. My reply is totally to that content. Your scenario sounds doesn’t sound like fun either. Who would want to go through that, instead of living a reasonably financially secure, stable, responsible life in the interim? Living well is it’s own reward isn’t it?
