His track record shows, as well as his financial advisor’s, that they encourages investment in China – a state run economy. Which means he is a hypocrite or delusional
Yeah, I don’t get that. I think his position is that you should be able to have free trade with a kingdom or a dictator or a communist country or a capitalist one. If people don’t like kings or dictators or communists or capitalists, it is up to *them* not to purchase products coming from those places. It isn’t up to big daddy (or mommy if you’re a liberal) government to protect you from dealing with evil kings/dictators/commies/capitalists (choose according to personal preference).

August 19, 2011 at 4:11 PM #721453briansd1GuestI believe that Arraya is saying that if Ron Paul and Peter Schiff believe that state intervention is so bad and detrimental, then why is Peter Schiff telling his clients to invest in China where state intervention is even greater than in America?
Peter Schiff is implicitly telling his clients that China will provide better returns than the USA.

August 19, 2011 at 4:43 PM #721473ArrayaParticipantExactly! Schiff talks endlessly about how state intervention is so so bad and the root of all economic problems – but, hey, everybody give me you money and I will buy chinese stocks! huh?
I understand the allure of RP and I sort of supported him back in 2007. Then I evolved my economic thinking.
This is more where I am at now….
