The-ShovelerParticipant
From what I understand in Italy, if you are over 60 they (the hospitals) just turn you away.
You don’t get looked at even, no staff no room.
The-ShovelerParticipant
Well I’m being asked to send everyone home and work from home until further notice.
Same just happen to us.
The-ShovelerParticipantIn Italy they are performing triage to see who gets treatment (who they think they can save)
not enough staff or equipmentThe-ShovelerParticipantDON’T PANIC !! LOL
I work better from home, if you can do it I think that part makes sense especially if older and at risk people in household.
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO Depending on where you were looking 2009 was the bottom.
After 2009, there continued to be sporadic deals in 2010-2011 etc.., but IMO the big deluge of deals was in 2009.
The-ShovelerParticipantIMO This week is key.
I figure by the end of this week we will know if coronavirus is going to be no big deal here or not being that we now have 1 million test kits available as of this weekend.I work remotely a good part of the time anyway and have no plans to go into the office this week.
The-ShovelerParticipantWow, Glad I pulled out of the market just after posting the above.
They are having bank runs in India !!
The-ShovelerParticipantWow they are pricing in a 75 basis point drop in rates at next meeting.
Soon time to refi !!
The-ShovelerParticipantSo I stocked up on another idem besides cold-eeze,
I got some raw Garlic, figure no one will want to be within 7 feet of us after we eat that.The-ShovelerParticipantFrom a colleague in San Jose

How does that explain Iran?
That AT&T story seems to cover the whole county.
DON’T PANIC !!
The-ShovelerParticipant
On a more serious note. If you or someone you care about relies on long term medication, you might want to give them a friendly reminder to have a nice stash of medicine 90-120 days.
The pharma supply chain too, is completely or partially dependent on facilities and ingredients from China and India, and that supply chain has been disrupted by the coronavirus. India just put an export restriction on drug exports, and many of the common medication that people depend on are generics made in India with ingredients manufactured from China.
So get your refills in now. Short term pain of offshoring drug manufacturing overseas. Pharma companies will learn the hard way and eventually some of it probably will come back to North America, which is a good thing.

Fortunately my mothers a smart lady, she was on this several weeks ago when this first started catching fire and ordered a > 90 day supply with OK of doc.
I wounder how many will die (not of disease) but from running out of prescriptions etc…
The-ShovelerParticipantDON’T PANIC!!
A worker at LAX contracted coronavirus after screening incoming passengers for the illness.
The Department is tracing the worker’s contacts and colleagues.
The spokesperson told Business Insider that DHS could not confirm whether the worker contracted the virus on the job,
or whether it was a case of community transmission. There have been no reported cases identified through passenger screening at LAX.
The-ShovelerParticipantSo I love how L.A. declares a emergency because of coronavirus then says there is no reason to panic, in the next sentence they say they expect more cases and possible community spread LOL.
DON’T PANIC !!
