While I’m prognosticating, the Chargers win the division and The Lakers repeat.
TG: Bet you heaved a big ass sigh of relief when the Lakes re-inked Odom, huh?
Apropos of nothing, where do you think Vick will wind up and in what role?
While were threadjacking, I am very happy they signed the candyman, it’s funny that the high taxes in California nearly drove him away, when you make 8 million a year, signing in a state with no taxes becomes a big deal, the Lakers have to pay 8-10% more to be even with other teams and the salary cap doesn’t accomodate state taxes. It’s not something I ever really thought about until the odom negotiations, now when they talk about raising taxes my focus will no longer be on businesses leaving California, it will be players. That might be a new slogan for the Howard Jarvis folks “Save our sports, stop new taxes.”
No clue on Vick, the teams that could use him can’t take the public relations beating, the teams that don’t care, don’t need him. If I had to guess, the Raiders, Skins or Pats, cause thier owner or coach are in the “I don’t care what people think” or the “I’m crazy, nobody will blame me” mode. But none of three really need him.

Participant
I’m so pissed right now.
I sold Ford and Chevron yesterday think Chevron who miss earnings and Ford’s runup would end.Chevron did miss earnings, but it’s up and Ford is $8 now…Goddamn. (had a tiny holding in Ford though anyway).
Still waiting for Shittybank to hit $10. ha ha.
Crawzy
You are pissed, what about me? I failed to buy it when it was under $2 even though I talked about it daily, I believe people warned me about giving investment advice to others as much as I talked about it. HOG is 22+ now, so it has tripled and Ford hase gone 4x plus. I am so done with this bear crap, I’s switching sides altogether before I miss more opportunities to 3x, 4x, 5x, or 6x my money in a matter if months
Everyone is gonna get their panties in a bunch with this next comment, so without further ado:
The recession is nearing the end. There, I said it. Over the next six months we will see signs of life, by spring unemployment will turn the corner but the stock market will have already done so. Housing has this winter and early spring left for bargain hunting, this time next year, the low and high end will have converged a tad and while it wont shoot up, it will be done going down.
While I’m prognosticating, the Chargers win the division and The Lakers repeat, now I can go back to bed and mail it in since I just figured out how the next twelve months will go.

ParticipantThey just announced they will not suspend it, in true governement style, running out of money should never be a reason to stop spending it. Kidding aside, it seems to be the only stimulus thing that actually worked, and just another reason that my not buying stock in Ford back in march will forever be on my top 10 investment mistakes list.

That was an interesting read. Regardless of what happens, at least it is giving Lewis Black some good material
