Participanti never tailgate. I keep a really large distance in front of me and people are constantly filing in in front of me as i drop back. I have never rear ended anyone. I beleive having lots of room to maneuver is good.
love, scaredycat.

Participanton the other hand, there is something to be said for not provoking the anger of people in power.
I was at a bat mitzvah recently where the reading was from Numbers, involving Korath challnging the authority of Moses. Why, asks Korath, do you get to be in charge? Moses basically says, well, korath, if I’m not supposed to be in charge, then you will live a normal life. But if I’m supposed to be in charge, something funky is going to happen. Soon. Then the earth opens up and swallows Korath and his family and his followers plus all their livestock for good measure. Clearly, Moses was meant to lead.
I think the lesson i took away from this was that while questioning authority is a catchy slogan that sold a lot of buttons, and it is theoretically good to stand up to authority if you think you’re right, there is some actual risk to doing so, including but not limited to being swalleowed up by the earth, and potentially even with your livestock, and sometimes discretion is the better part of valor, whatever that means.

ParticipantI’m angry at best buy right now. I bought a phone, told I had 10 days to cancel contract. I cancelled timely. Then the carrier said there was a separate 3 day cancellation pd for activation fees. And I owed them 200$ even though contract was timely cancelled. I feel best buy had a duty to tell me of the two separate cancellation pds. Am I being unreasonable?
Best buys position is read your contract don’t rely on what we say.
My feeling in response is, well then screw you best buy.

ParticipantI saw an awesome vanity for $88 at home depot while I was buying rubber feet for a metal altek stool I plucked from a dumpster at ucsb this weekend. My wife accepts the dumpster stool but not the 88$ vanity.

ParticipantI used to care.
I could care less now.
Or is it I couldn’t care less?
Or was it carefree?
The amount I care is so trivial that a smaller amount doesn’t exist.

ParticipantMy kids went thru true Montessori in nm at great fancy school w well trained teachers. I believe those years made them netter people. We spent way too much money doing it but it was worth it.

ParticipantActually I’d probably pay 3,500 for a way bitching sink just to be done with it.
My sink would then be worth three times my car

ParticipantIf we could describe bitching I think we’d already have bought it.
Retro renovations sounds promising
been trying cragslist for 6 months and occasionally see a lead but haven’t closed a deal.

ParticipantShe’s willing to convert an antique vanity.
