ParticipantYou all expect JG to be tolerant of you and/or alternate lifestyles yet you are not tolerant of his conservative view. Thats a nice little taste of hypocrisy.
Further, before anyone begins to harangue me and accuse me blindly defending JG, I do believe that I am on record as saying that I am in favor of civil unions. I’ll even go a step farther and say that I believe homosexuality is a natural state for a low percentage of the human population.

Participant1) There are huge numbers of careers that require a college education. I can’t think of any careers where a college education disqualifies you (although someone might be able think of ONE).
2) A good chunk of 18 year olds don’t know what they want to be when they grow up. Getting an education is the best bet for success.
3) A college education is also a college experience. You can’t quantify that in dollars. Even though I went through some rough times and was poorer than dirt, I would not trade my college experience for anything. If life was all about making/saving money, I would never have had children. Some things are just worth the cost. 🙂

ParticipantLookoutbelow, my comment regarding this playground type name calling has nothing to do with being offended. Additionally, even though many other people would be offended by your attempt to marginalize me through my gender, I am not.
As for growing a pair, I already have a nice (metaphorical) set that I carry around with me and whip out whenever I need a little extra testosterone. I’m thinking that mine are bigger than yours. 🙂

ParticipantWow, a bunch of people who rejoice in name calling. It just makes a person sound SOOOOOO smart, logical and informed. Perhaps President Bush just needs to add some name calling to his vocabulary to sound smart to you folks.

Participant4000 in escrow means 3998 Greater Fools and 2 people who found their dream home.
I would also like to know how 4000 compares to previous years.

Everywhere I look
There are folks with subprimeMy gains are in the bank
And I think that they’re all crazy
But prices aren’t down enough
And things are looking hazyI’m waiting here for REOs
As forclosures are coming due
But it is not moving fast enough
Just between me and youAnd what about inflation?
Will my dollars turn to ash?
Should I leverage with a home

ParticipantI have started to see a number of “for sale” signs with a “for rent” sign tacked on.

ParticipantI have seen a reduction here in Coronado. A house for sale in the Cays just went inactive. The owners had purchased for 1,050,000 and had it for sale at 999,000 (MLS 060065973). There is another house in the Cays that a realtor purchased to flip last year. I heard through the grapevine that they turned down an offer for 1,050,000 (last spring?). It was for sale for a long time but then last summer the sign dissappeared and people moved in. However, it was still listed on MLS with no picture until recently. They were asking 994,500 (066087721).
Houses listed at peak prices do not seem to be moving. There are lots and lots of price reductions and there is a lot of inventory. The only houses selling fast are those priced as a “good deal.”
I think there is going to be an inventory spike here this spring. Prices just can’t hold up when you have 10 months (or more) of inventory.

ParticipantIn addition to neglecting to add in taxes, many people do not calculate the opportunity cost of their downpayment. Since I would have to put down a bundle to buy where I live, it jacks the cost of ownership per month WAY up. In a market moving up, you don’t get hurt. However, in a downward or sideways market, you lose. Plus, you don’t to get write off the loss of potential earnings…

ParticipantI went by there today. There were two pickup trucks in the area. A group of about 4 or 5 men were looking at what appeared to be blueprints spread out in the bed of one of the trucks.

ParticipantI saw the Pentagon destruction only days later. I don’t have to rely on photos, which never match up to the real thing in scale. It was a mighty big hole, folks.
I like how all these conspiracy folks have no trouble believing that the government pulled an unimaginably huge hoax yet would release video of a cesna impacting the Pentagon. I think some people have been sniffing too much glue.
There have been instances where planes travelling at a high rate of speed pretty much disintegrated on impact.
Mountain crashes are not always straight on. The pilot may be pulling up or banking at impact. The crash site will look much different with larger pieces of the plane.
Perry, in your Bishop analogy you are comparing apples to oranges. If this Bishop is encouraging murder, etc, then he is just as guilty as the perpetrator.

ParticipantPS, where did I say you believe in aliens? Did you not understand that I was using aliens only to illustrate the absurdity of this whole thing? Have you no sense of humor? Where have you been slandered?
I find it interesting that when you feel under attack, a new poster mysteriously appears to defend you (jztz, coimbiatore).
