Borat – That’s true. I did not mean to exclude the construction industry. Naturally it trickles down. A lot of unemployed. That’s been my question. The dot-com got replaced by real estate. What is the next big thing?

Somehow, people couldn’t figure out why html skills no longer qualified as “software work” that commanded six figures. Funny that a lot of these people inevitability became RE “professionals”.
So anyone want to take a stab at what will be the next thing to be doing workwise? We’re going to have a lot of realtors, loan officers, appraisers looking for work. They’re all not going to be saying “May I take your order.” What’s going to be the next easy, good paying job?

You now know it as Carmel Valley. As far as I knew, they did a good job, constructed some nice places and had a better reputation than Pardee. Back in the ’80’s Pardee had a good rep for the polybutelene plumbing problems/cheap construction and some defect lawsuits. Baldwin did not use poly plumbing, but I think Baldwin Co. ended up going under.
When I read this post, little flashback. Baldwin.
Guess they, uh, regrouped.
