ParticipantWow, reading TG’s list, makes you realize sticking it out, no matter how depressing, is probably better in the long run (I mean for the non-single types thinking of splitting).
I simply can’t imagine doing any of the 1-5 with any passion other than knowing the end-game goal.
1. Like Barnaby, no real posse. People at work don’t hang out and most guys around me are married.
2. I don’t know I suppose of all the choices this might be the top choice of the Five. I’ve never “cruised”, but it sounds fun and you can hop on right here in SD or LA.
3. Just started a program with my son to get to 300 lb. deadlift, and 200 bench press which seems easy but I think my muscles have atrophied so it should take close to 2 months. We do this in the garage, and there is nothing ladylike about it. As a know-it-all type who doesn’t do anything without analysis paralysis, I’ve had my greatest weight loss and strength gains doing powerlifts. So doing Yoga or pilates is just not in my vocab. Probably spent too much time reading crossfit before getting off my arse and most are against that type of workout (though it’s where the chicks are). Not many women in my garage watching my son and I grunt.
4. If there is any shopping to be done, it’s almost always my wife. I loathe it, but I did go to Horton’s tonight and we dragged the kids out for our once a year family trip to the mall. (it’s almost that rare). Now with my diet I stop off for eggs and cuts of meat on my own.
5. Big parties and street fairs I never go to. In 5 years I’ve never once even attended on of our company Christmas parties. I did go down to the Encinitas street fair once.Wow until now I hadn’t thought about how little I have to offer.
– I’d have messed up credit if we split most likely (well scores are reasonable but load is too high)…
– I am overweight, hopefully for only a few more months. Now I do think at a svelte 195 or so I’d be one of those good looking 40 year olds but it sounds like that doesn’t matter too much
– Diet is severely restricted (meat, eggs, water, cheese) and not drinking wine or beer right now. No grains, no fruits or veggies. BORING for dating, I feel amazing but it’s awfully anti-social
– Picky about her political views (no politically active left-wingers). I mean to say I don’t care if my-lady is a lib if she is otherwise busy with life. I refer to going to meetings luncheons, conventions, etc. I love having dissenting friends, but as I don’t hang around spineless jellyfish politicians of any stripes I don’t want to be stuck going to some fund-raiser for a “progressive”. She can be a lib, but just not one who’s really into the activist stuff. (I am definitely not)

– Wife 1.0 can’t get me to go to the “shows” mostly because I can’t bear to pay what a ticket costs compared to say a sporting event.In short there is really nothing interesting or compelling to offer the opposite sex, outside of having all of my teeth thanks to the TJ dentist. Should I turn gay? Naah same issues. Maybe if I got svelte I could be the “bull” for a cuckold couple or date hotwives only…

Still it was worth it. I cannot freaking believe how inept Cleveland’s comeback to the league has been. Who would ever imagined the Stillers taking the all-time series victory total away from Cleveland, but when you win both games for 6-7 straight years that is what happens.
