The biggest issue detractors bring up is Benghazi.

A movie is coming to theaters soon. The witch hunt did result in the @clintonemail.com revelation. A security contractor who would try to host his own email and use it for work would lose the job, together with anybody who knew about it and kept quiet.

I like her just fine as a politician.
Is it sexist or racist if a black person thinks Hilary is not likable?all
ParticipantI was looking at the Home Valuation Index the other day and it looks like we are where we were around 2003, when a few people thought the houses are peaking and when the free money party was starting.

Participant
We’re in the 92067 zip, RSF, and, I believe The Crosby is in the 92127 zip code. If anyone is interested in listings in either, just pull up 92127 or 92067 at sdlookup.com.
There is an option to pay and have your mail routed through RSF, if you live in Crosby. I heard more than one person referring to Crosby as RSF because of that.

Participant
Sounds like a miserable place to work (Q).
It’s a lesson taught all to often: if at all possible put yourself in a position where you can survive if you find yourself out of work. If you’re over 40 it can be very difficult to find similiar work, and if you do it will likely be at a considerably reduced rate or in crappy work conditions.
The 1st thing I would do is move to Texas.
I just came back from Austin. The best part of the trip was landing in SD.all
ParticipantThe market is truly global. I work at a small company and I coordinate with or lead people working in 8 different time zones. I wish I had some of those guys in the office with me, but few that I did ask were not interested in relocating to the US.
So, the alternative to an H1B worker sitting in a cubicle here is the same guy sitting in a cubicle overseas working for you (if you are lucky), or competing with you. The article the OP posted says as much – 70% of the work is being offshored.

Participant
No, their problem is not unique and I saw it coming. What’s unique is Steve Mollenkopf’s leadership. When he took over, I felt that this would happen, but wasn’t expecting it to happen this quick and this drastic.
Good thing Q did not let M$ steal him.

ParticipantMy big concern with autonomous vehicles is software. Based on my experience, if something can be abused it will be abused. Also, if something can be abused somebody will find a way to monetize it.

It’s amazing — I’ve flown within Europe in the last few years. No shoe check, barely any border controls once in the EU, no backscatter in some countries, all without begging their governments for permission not to be humiliated.America! YEAH! Land of the free! HAHAHAHAHA!
The orthodox Jew with a wife and 6 kids got full treatment at the Zurich airport few months ago. Including stripping, patting, emptying the luggage and testing powdered baby formula for explosives. My bag was on the belt until his was cleared, first row seat. It felt very unnecessary, but he did not blow up the plane afterwards, so yay!

Participant
This is the first time you’ve defined it as an authoritarian society.
I said it in my mind when I first posted on this thread. I assumed the force was with you at the time.
BTW, how do you have a thriving authoritarian society with weak institution? It doesn’t make any sense to me. Don’t you need a very strong institution in order to exhert authority? Isn’t authority at the heart of an authoritarian regime?
It’s a science (political).

Participant
Again, if not communism, then what are they? If you object to what they call themselves, then you surely would have a better name for them, right? FYI, there’s no such thing as pure communism or capitalism or socialism or fascism. I’ve never claimed that they’re pure communist according to the political theory. Afterall, they’re all just theories. How those theories get applied varry greatly. Especially when you take into account human nature.
I already did – it is just another corrupt, authoritarian society.
You can interpret the communist manifesto creatively, but what you labeled as communist society is not described there. If the means of production are individually owned it cannot be communism. If there is accumulation of wealth by a person or a group it cannot be communism. If there are privileged groups (as in class), it cannot be communism.

Participant
If it’s not communism, then what is it? Last I checked, China, Vietnam, Laos, North Korea are all communist countries. Do you have new information that I don’t know about?
Calling yourself communist does not make you a communist. Would you also argue that Deutsche Demokratische Republik was a democracy? After all, it is right there in the name.It cannot be communism if you have individuals owning shares of companies.
