Looks like, per Rancho Santa Fe fire chief, 4S Ranch is deserving of a new nickname. (it should really read “Fire resistant” Ranch but “Fire Proof” Ranch is more catchy . . . don’t you think????ParticipantFYI- Fire issues were discussed at length on this thread:

If times get really tough, the rich will hire ex military or retired cops for personal security for them and their family members. When crime goes up, there are increased sales of security systems, gate guarded enclaves will increase, guard dogs, etc. It could be a trend. The kidnappings in Mexico could move north. Just a few thoughts.
