Another arguable upside of Mello Roos is that it is very difficult to close a school that was built using Mello Roos funds. A few years ago they tried to close Ashley Falls school in CV; the parents (naturally) complained and the effort was given up. According to the district website, closing a Mello Roos supported school is theoretically possible but fraught with legal complications.
This thread is about nothing more than families being taken to the bank by gov’t public employee unions.
And then trying to justify being screwed.
Fools.
it is well known monterey ridge and stone ranch elementary are both already impacted. with the new homes from monteluz and others finishing up, the pressure on monterey ridge would be even greater.
bernardo points may be right adjacent to monterey ridge on the east side, but it is the most logical community to cut so the moneterey ridge impaction doesn’t reach critical mass as there is no other areas to cut away.
