GuestI think of this as a “health insurance bill” rather than a health care bill, and I agree it is better than nothing, and, after the last year, apparently, it is as good as we can hope for at this time.
To my mind, insurance should be a sharing of costs rather than a profit-driven enterprise. If health insurance companies are going to be a permanent part of the health care landscape, I think they should return to the cost distribution concept. I agree that we need cost containment in health care, but I think the impetus behind it should be health, not profit.
