October 7, 2009 at 7:08 AM #465085CascaParticipantIf I remember correctly from the eighth grade, checking accounts are demand deposits. Savings accounts are not. Demand deposits, by law, must be paid on demand. Transfer the money to your checking, and write yourself a check for it.
