[quote=arraya]Civil disobedience, that’s not our problem. Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That’s our problem.

that’s right. the only thing we Americans will protest is a blacked out game.BTW: “Matt Damon lived next door to the Zinns as a child in West Newton, Massachusetts. Damon included a reference to A People’s History in his film Good Will Hunting [Great Movie]. In a confrontation with his psychologist, played by Robin Williams, Damon’s character tells him: ‘If you want to read a real history book, read Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States. That book will knock you on your ass.'”
That book is not going to show up at your local school so keep dreaming Matt.March 13, 2009 at 12:10 AM #365451equalizerParticipant[quote=arraya]Civil disobedience, that’s not our problem. I called my local fire department and asked them if they are preparing for fires, floods, earthquakes, cats stuck in trees and trainwrecks.
Guess what ? They said they are preparing for ALL these events … and more! They even said something about arson-caused forest fire preparations.
Scary stuff.
