Someone on the thread said common sense, maybe true, but he is one of those people that can easily but aside common sense to validate whatever they want.

It’s very interesting to me you bring this up. During my fellowship in LA I worked with an old GYN, former chair of the department that is also a Mormon. He actually knows Romney personally and he once made a very similar statement to the one you just wrote.
I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t get excited about him. Kind of the way I felt about Dole in ’96. I have a feeling the nominee is going to be someone who will suddenly come out of nowhere.[/quote]
Well honestly I think we all do what I described above to a certian extent… And he does seem to be very “on the ball” but I want to hold my president to a higher standard than myself…
I think Obama will get his second term the same way Bush Jr. got his… Better to go with the evil you know…
But I have a hard time with him being mormon because a large portion that I know believe the Rapture will happen at any momement AND I don’t want to see anyone “help” that along.
Good to see you post Navydoc. Hope things are good on the right coast…

June 17, 2011 at 5:46 PM #704355AnonymousGuestI have wanted to vote for Senator Tim Calhoun ever since he said
“I am uniquely qualified to represent America because, just like America, I am HOPELESSLY in debt, and I’m about 10% gay.”
Unfortunately, he’s a fictional character on Saturday Night Live, so I’ll vote for Dr. Paul…again.
