I know the area. I think it’s an excellent spot for a mosque; or better still an agnostic philosophy center; I recently converted from lifelong atheism to agnosticism. Atheism implies I actually am able to know something; also it puts itself in relation to god; argues about him. Better to be agnostic. I am open to the possibility I am wrong on everything, absolutely everything. I am even receptive to the very remote possibility some god exists, or all gods exist or that there is a heaven or angels who watch over me; or other strange unknown extraterrestrials. Could be. Too presumptuous to be an atheist; too cocky; better not to get so directly confrontational

Very perceptive. I don’t know for sure, but your post sounds right.

August 1, 2010 at 4:44 PM #585162danielwisParticipantI have a friend that is a tea party member. He’s a cool guy. The only thing about him that worries me a little is that he has a vault in his basement with over 40 assault rifles, “just in case” the “government” ever “assaults” his home. Other than that he’s a totally cool guy.
