Air Conditioning, Cable TV, and an Xbox: What is Poverty in the United States Today? Who knew?
“Yet if poverty means lacking nutritious food, adequate warm housing, and clothing for a family, relatively few of the more than 30 million people identified as being “in poverty” by the Census Bureau could be characterized as poor.[2] While material hardship definitely exists in the United States, it is restricted in scope and severity. The average poor person, as defined by the government, has a living standard far higher than the public imagines.”

September 14, 2011 at 12:19 AM #728985VeritasParticipantHey, don’t you have a job to go to? Yes, you are right. Everyone will be rich. Good thinking. I like that kind of positive spin. You should be in politics!

I am in states for last 10 years and gotten my MS in EE here. But everywhere I look, people following the straight path are punished here.
Everyone talks about the illegal immigrants no one talks about people like us waiting for our green card.
People who acted in a fiscally responsible way now are bailing out the others..September 16, 2011 at 1:45 AM #729216CA renterParticipant[quote=dd123]I am still on H1B visa drawing pretty good money waiting for my green card for last 7 years.

No unauthorized immigrant is jumping ahead of you causing you to fall back in line. Your wait in line remains the same or could be shortened with immigration reform.
