Maybe you guys are right that Trump is going to be good for democrats but I still think it’s a little too early to tell.
A measure of one’s intelligence and foresight is how timely and accurate one’s predictions are. In business and in life, you need to feel the pulse of society to prosper and adapt.
Sarah Palin is the mainstream candidate that enabled Trump. Had Republicans “refudiated” her 8 years ago, Trump would not be the nominee today. Trumpismo has been let out and cannot be contained anymore.

I didn’t catch that either. Thanks for posting UCGal. I too voted for her but will be voting for Dave Roberts in November.June 10, 2016 at 2:50 PM #798596cahunterParticipantDo you mean that supporting Trump is a violation of the First Amendment? On the contrary, I only saw the Trump protesters trying to use violence against the supports to scare them away.
Let me share my perspective that why I support Trump.
I came from China and lived in the country side of the socialism country at my childhood. I remember that my family could not get sufficient food and warm clothes through the cold winter. And we were very grateful the the government assistance we received. As Deng Xiaoping became the leader of the country, he started to reform the economy to a market based one. We got panic when hearing about it. We thought we couldn’t survive as the government assistance went away. We were so used to being taken care of by our government that we don’t believe in our capability of surviving on our own.
Everyone now knows that the changes turn out much better than we expected. In the process, people got rewarded by working hard and got punished by their bad behaviors. I fortunately managed to be able to attend a top university in China, came to USA for graduate school and then took a job in software engineer. Most of my childhood classmates/friends was not able to go to college. Most of them dropped out of middle school and entered the work force as construction workers, or factory workers. I recently reconnected with many of them via WeChat, a popular social platform in China. Many of them are now doing very well as small business owner, construction contractors, electrical factory partners. These are the average guys and they are having a similar life style to folks here. I know them very well and they don’t get external assistance along the way.
As legal immigrants through H1b, we have to make sure to keep a job without a gap. When the companies lay off, we needed to make sure we find the next job in a week or 2. Otherwise, we were ready to pack up and go back to China. The H1bs pay all the federal, state income tax and social securities like others. But if they leave the country, they get nothing back. It took us 7 to 10 years to get a green card. The process is long and we earned the green card. When democrats were proposing to provide a citizen path to the illegal immigrants, it is unfair to all the legal immigrants.
With the observations, I generally believe in small government, competition by merit. On the other hand, I view the last decade of America is going to the wrong direction. Liberals in California are trying to make government do more and more. And the generous welfare programs will attract more illegal immigrants as free riders. They are trying to implement affirmative action in college admissions, private sectors. Everything about political correctness is not questionable. I personally do not feel that America is not the great country I would like to immigrate to. Trump is the only candidate that has the courage to speak out this. Everyone else is promoting or following the progressive agenda.
Personally, I have been a green card holder for 5 years. I am eligible to apply for US citizen this year. I was waiting for this day very long time and would apply for it soon enough. But now I actually want to hold off my citizen application because I think that the country goes to the wrong direction.
June 10, 2016 at 4:38 PM #798600FlyerInHiGuestCalhunter, with immigration reform, all else being equal, there will be 2 separate lines. One queue for H1-B and legal immigrants, and another queue for unauthorized immigrants to get legalized. No unfairness. The h1-b line does not move any faster under Trump’s deportation plan.
As to the rest is your post, that’s just typical right wing ideology. Essentially, you’re willing to overlook all of Trump’s flaws and consider him just like mitt Romney or another “normal” republican candidate.

Decent post earlier…I suppose for a lot of folks, they are “voting” for a candidate based on just 1 or 2 points…that they care more about than anyone else.
As I have mentioned, I know of well educated, decently compensated nurses who are trump supporters just because of the illegal immigration issues and benefits they see at their own hospitals. I think all the other stuff that are bad, no matter how bad, is just not enough for them to care.
Oh well, nice to see someone who isn’t a blue collar uneducated hick come out and give their opinion.
I do find all the Trump supporter haters pretty annoying personally.
Again, I am not voting for Trump, but there is just so little tolerance for people to support their own candidate from Clinton supporters and as others have mentioned, if you support Trump, you are viewed as Hitler yourself almost.
Oh well, everyone will just do whatever they please since forums aren’t really to debate anyways.

Trump has clearly stated that he will attempt to violate the First Amendment if elected.
Not exactly a platform built on “obeying the law.”

That’s hilarious. Why should Jews be natural republicans? Be careful. You could step in a big steaming pile of shit you’ll never get out of.
Because a large proportion of Jews are business owners and white collar professionals. Republican economic policies tend to favor business owners and white-collar workers over blue-collar employees.
And no, I didn’t step into the big steaming pile of shit you insist on bringing to this conversation.

I didn’t insist on anything. And no you didn’t. And neither did Brian.

Will Darrel Issa survive this November?

Obama makes it a point to campaign against Darrell Issa –
Issa, Obama said, is one of the Republicans he blames for fanning the flames that created Donald Trump, and is now trying to run from Trump as the polls plummet. The California Republican is also one of those kind of Republicans, according to Obama, who spits fire at him and then shows up with family members for pictures at the White House Christmas party every year.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/obama-issa-darrell-230218%5B/quote%5DThat article is great! I saw a photo of that flier – could not believe that the man who blasted Obama week and week month after month filled his flier with a huge photo of Obama…that says Issa is VERY worried about his prospects!
Glad Obama called him out on it.
And you know those annoying car alarms that go off whenever anyone glances at the car? That’s how Issa made his millions – car alarms. Viper if I’m not mistaken. Now every time I hear him slamming Obama from his perch in Congress his words sound like a car alarm to me – crying wolf over a nonexistent threat.
October 24, 2016 at 10:42 AM #802573FlyerInHiGuestIssa sounds almost like Isis. He fogets that under Trump’s immigration plan, his Arab dad would not have been admitted to the USA. As an Arab, he would also have to register. Maybe Darrell Issa is trying too hard to show his loyalty…. humm, we should be suspicious.
But seriously, the guy no longer represents his district which is increasingly Hispanic. His fall would represent another victory in pushing the deplorables eastward away from our wonderful coastal areas.

Those stupid deplorables, why do they keep looking for jobs anyway? Don’t they know they can do just as well staying home and getting on the dole. Cell phones, health care, food stamps, college, it’s all free. And yes, only liberals and the worlds homeless should crowd our beautiful coastal areas… Shangri la.
