Spent a few years living and working in The City myself. SD is definitely a cow town in comparison. So much so that any comparisons are a waste of time.

Sorry, but the last thing san diego has a shortage of land. Shortage of high paying careers and income. Yes. But land????

We’re not talking about the Bay Area. I would agree if you talked about the Bay Area. But what do you call all that space along 56????

I don’t know what they call that open space along the 56 but I sure like it. Whew! Every time I drive through that area I take a breathe. I just wish it would be zoned to stay that way. How many more houses and mini malls do we need in SD?

One thing I like about the Bay Area is that they seem to have so much more open spaces…Poway is also like that. I heard somewhere (probably here) that the city is very tight on building/builders. Only approx 4 building permits per year are given out.

I love San Diego…I just don’t want it to look like Orange County by the end of this decade.

Good point gracie – I think that’s where its headed (Orange County South)… Maybe there will be a show someday – “the real housewives of Carmel Valley”!!! My sister lives in the OC and it’s pretty dense. (literally and figuratively!)
