Obama is an empty suit. Except for his Marxist ideals, that is.
Okay, I’ll bite. I rather vote for the empty suit than a sleaze like McCain.

June 21, 2008 at 11:19 AM #226165LA_RenterParticipantI enjoyed this Op-ed piece on Obama by David Brooks in the NY Times, the two Obamas
My favorite quote was
“But he’s been giving us an education, for anybody who cares to pay attention. Just try to imagine Mister Rogers playing the agent Ari in “Entourage” and it all falls into place.”
Point being don’t underestimate this guy, you are talking about somebody who beat the Clintons at the inside game.
Here is my biggest concern about our politicians big promises going forward
“To which the folks who monitor the nation’s financial situation can only say: Good luck. Because, back in Washington, tax collections are slowing, the budget deficit is rising, and the national debt is approaching $10 trillion. Whoever wins the White House this fall, fiscal experts say, is likely to have a tough time enacting expensive new initiatives, be they tax cuts or health care reform.
Economists expect the deficit to top $400 billion when the fiscal year ends Sept. 30, rivaling the all-time high of $413 billion set in 2004. Meanwhile, Congress recently adopted a spending plan that projects a $340 billion deficit in 2009 — a number likely to grow, lawmakers say, as the cost of the Iraq war rises, the economy weakens and the flow of revenue slows.”

I want to hear somebody talk about a balanced budget.

…every historical comparison, see:

…and judging by the HUGE financial advantage Obama possesses, example:

…I think it will be quite the opposite. There is a sea change coming in this country, and one lesson conservatives are not learning is that in times of great economic upheaval, calling candidates liberals or socialists doesn’t hurt them. It helps them.
Personally, after watching for the last decade what completlely unfettered capitalism brought us in the mortgage and financial markets, I’ll be welcoming a little socialism.
My prediction? Obama 300+ electoral win come November 4th.
Obama is the first cartoon character we have had run for president.
Check out how stupid he looks with his campaign “seal”
If an Republican were to do something this corny, this stupid they would be laughed out of town.
McCain will make Obama look like the racist fool that he is.

BTW, Obama is going back on his promise to use public financing. Another lie of his with many more to come.
