Mr. Cooprider14,
Sounds like you could use a drink here. Relax. It's Friday.
I never BASHED anyone, rather gave advice that many others have echoed here themselves to help this man get ahead.
I am a giver but don't keep count and don't tell people when I do give. I do it in secret most the time and spontaneously.
I asked a few SIMPLE questions which have yet to be answered out of my own curiousity concerning his practice of tithing and his thoughts of those who don't practice it and what it means to feel or be BLESSED?
Where am I wrong concerning INDULGENCES and their practice by Catholics? Please elaborate….
Don't say I said things that I didn't say. Take the time to READ my posts constructively. Sounds like I hit a nerve with you here on something…the drink should take care of it for awhile…. Sincerely, Contraman

The simple fact is that inflation is caused by easy credit. People like you and me who are responsible with our money can’t compete with those irresponsible people who borrow money for purchases. They are able to promiscuously borrow just about any amount thus bidding up the price on just about everything. This is the reason why people like us actually prosper when interest rates go up. The higher the interest rate the less purchasing power these idiots have thus prices must fall. So wish for those double digit interest rates.

I feel your pain. I have to have major dental work performed and insurance covers little of the massive 10k in work to be performed so that I do not lose the teeth in my mouth. I get tax benefit but its a drop in the bucket. I renewed my lease for 15 months at least my rent has only increased by 10 bucks in past 2.5 years. Housing will drop in San Diego. It must- because the salaries and economics do not support the run up in prices. I make a good salary but not enough for a modest 2-3 bedroom home here. I may need to move out of California to a cheaper state or country place to afford a house in 2009 or 2010.

July 1, 2007 at 1:06 AM #63168AnonymousGuestRather than BAD analogies, let me use a very DIRECTLY pertinent one. Suppose your neighbor has a cordless phone. You go to a garage sale and buy the same phone. Now you use it to make calls on THEIR phone line.
At this point you have crossed the line from simply “reading using their porchlight” to actively sending signal into their house attempting to use their utility.
If you can’t see where this is active and knowledgeable intrusion, and unethical and probably illegal, I can’t help you with that. State and Federal laws take a dim view however of intruding onto computer networks. Beware.
Personally in past I have paid neighbors to share their service. At the moment I am doing the sharing, my ISP is Sonic.net which allows and encourages it. I maintain the connection, the girls next door kick in $20/month for all 3 of them, everybody is happy and EVERYONE AGREED ON IT. Don’t want to turn this discussion off in the wrong direction but just had to say something REAL instead of the ridiculously chosen analogies I often see trotted out.
