January 21, 2008 at 5:01 PM #140033nostradamusParticipantHaha Aecetia has quoted from my #1 all time favorite movie! From my favorite actress! Wouldn’t it be great if movies with real dialog and real talent like that were still around?
Ironically Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a play on the phrase “Who’s Afraid of the Big, Bad Wolf?” which was the theme song for one of the movies which made Disney famous during the great depression.
Even more ironic is that Disney’s film was a HUGE success which set the stage for Disney as we knew it and at the same time happened right at the deepest bottom of the depression. Those of you who believe that entertainment will do well (movies, games, sports, etc) in a crashing economy are, IMO, correct.
EVEN MORE ironic is the answer to the question of who’s afraid of the big, bad wolf: the little piggies!
