ParticipantIf Im not mistaken the “top 20%” the Democrats want to tax higher consists of pretty much anyone making $100k or more, maybe even lower than that. $100k hardly makes you rich in today’s economy.
Higher taxes do not encourage spending at any level.
The government needs to spend less. Only RP wants to do that. The Democrats’ entire platfom is based on spending more.
Bi-partisan politics and career politicians are crippling this country.

Participant“consists of pretty much anyone making $100k or more”
I heard 200K
“The government needs to spend less. Only RP wants to do that. ”
US government is one of the smallest governments in the developed world (in terms of spending vs. GDP). It can’t spend much less than it does. Yeah you can end the war (every Democrat will do that) and you can scale back Homeland Security but there aren’t any other easy ways to spend less.

ParticipantThe Dems will just print more money. It will be worth less, but that will be their fix. They will expand government (aka WPA) and they will raise taxes, which will in turn exacerbate the problem. Just look back in history about 50 years.
