Don’t be so quick to think that the republicans are any more agreeable to a true free market then the dems with respect for housing. To me that is naive and misguided because both parties are simple puppets to wall street. I don’t think that there will be a major change no matter who is in office.
Here comes the new boss… same as the old boss…
If only more than only 19 million Republicans would show up to vote in the primary elections things might not always turn out as you suggest.
I hope the old guard of the Republican party get driven out with John McCain as their poster boy. I was greatly saddened he’s still in. I have zero faith the Democrat party could be turned around and pro-Constitution in my lifetime. For goodness sake, today’s Dems make JFK look like a right wing extremist war monger.

November 4, 2010 at 10:27 PM #626981scaredyclassicParticipanti know a fellow who justa few short years ago was trying to persuade me to buy not just one house, but several houses,a co-worker, and couldn’t understand why i was being so obtuse and idiotic in not understanding his cash flow projections for retirement in a few short years. The other day, he invited me to his house for a clearing out weekend house sale of everything he owns, giving the house back to the bank and “downsizing”. Not sure if that’s a sign to buya big house, but he’s definitely thrown in the towel on his rentals. I’m gonna say that he’s as likely to be a contrarian indicator as anything…man he thought I was dense.

November 5, 2010 at 4:35 AM #627026ArrayaParticipantThere is a fundamental disconnect with what is simplistically called the “Liberal Elite” and the rest of the country.
No, Allen, it’s just the “elite” and they only have one ideology – to maintain and gain more power and control. And, yes, the disconnect is huge.
