    to clarify, the 4S developer is Newland Communities. California West is one of the guest builders.

    btw, went back and scanned through most of the purchase prices. generally we are looking at $720k to $780k. remember, CalWest bought these lots for the low $200k, so they did quite well overall with these communities.

    btw, these new tracts are overwhelmingly dominated by Chinese buyers, on one street I’m looking at 12/17 are of Mainland Chinese origin.

    Wow, they’re taking over. Not my childhood’s San Diego anymore… but change is all for the better.

    I got a call yesterday from these people, they’re offering some incentives.

    I’m surprised i got a call, because I thought they were selling out and had a huge waiting list. Is it another phase?

    When I dropped by last year, i told the women i’d be interested if it was in the low 600K, she had a smirk on her face.

    I told the guy that called that with prices continuing to drop, i’m on the sidelines.
