With the recent fiscal issues With the recent fiscal issues in our state CA, I’m wondering if some of you folks are starting to see an impact.
For example, I’ve noticed public parks are starting to look unkemped, fees for parking at state beaches/etc are going up. and while i definitely see a lot more patrols theses days, it seems like most of them are for ticket enforcement and ironically seeming more on motorcycles than full cruisers.

I was at a Dr apt last week. I was at a Dr apt last week. I couldnt believe how many cops I saw. Not all in one place, not all doing the same thing, but atleast 6 cops in maybe 5 miles of driving.
BTW, I havent seen my friendly neighboorhood ticket writer lately. He usually shows up for a few days a month, and then takes off a few. Need to remember to keep it incheck.

I support pretty much I support pretty much everything the Guvinator is doing to reduce the State’s huge budget deficit.
I would like a chance to vote RIGHT NOW to FIRE State Controller John Chiang for refusing to comply with the Governor’s orders.
I expect to see the quality of state services cut, and teachers to be laid off, and on and on…and these are needed cuts.

San Diego’s public libraries San Diego’s public libraries are still a joke. Seriously, I’m embarrassed how pathetic they are for a city as large as we are.
The UC budget is just being wrecked by the state cuts. This is leading to huge fee increases for students and unrest among workers, whose cost of living raises fail to cover the increased cost of living.

San Diegans got to vote on a San Diegans got to vote on a new ball park vs. a grand new library. They chose the ball park, now we can all enjoy sitting in ball park traffic while hotels rake in money and ball park beer vendors sell watered down beer for twice the price as we enjoy watching our team lose game after game yet make the highest payroll in padres history.
See, we have more important things to spend our money on than libraries. And those hotels, vendors, and sports teams do so much for the people of San Diego. They let us pay to watch them!
Libraries don’t make money! We need funds to cover the pension scandal, the corruption trials of our council members (Inzunza and Foley), Duke Cunningham’s house in Del Mar, and more! You’re not expecting public funds to be wasted on the public, are you?
