If it’s a start to a discussion about the debt you should add in some info about the debt. Currently, according to the debt clock website, it’s about 52k per citizen. So my nuclear family owes over $200k.
But… My husband and I are approaching SS age… And we’ll recapture some of that as annuitized income.
