ParticipantWow, if Wildomar is at $100 sqft, then it’s only a matter of months before Murrieta and Temecula get there. The new home builders will have to compete with those re-sale prices. That first house is a great link, it doesn’t look too shabby, and the second house has a pool. These are great first time home buyer prices. Now, my last question is why aren’t they buying the new homes?
PS. Thanks for the response

ParticipantI have been looking at 4S as well. Only because of the Poway school district, and newer communities attract new families like myself. But, I was a little surprised when visiting the new developments. For the higher tax rate, I would not mind paying, there is not a single community pool in all of 4S. Correct me if I’m wrong please. I can live with a small backyard, if I know there is a community pool to go to during the hot summer months.

ParticipantI would say No if it is a newer home.
Here is a great article about earthquakes related to our modern building standards with slab foundations and wood frame construction. Starts at pg.4

ParticipantHere is an article regarding the one they are trying to start around Temecula. My employees were talking about this article the other day. Land is a little cheaper in this area, than 4S Ranch.

ParticipantI do work in the construction industry. But, that is an excellent opportunity for someone who is handy and wants to get their foot in the door on home ownership and of course is willing to stay there for at least 10 years ;).
